From now, the qualification to the Tennis Master Cup is taking into account the Champions Race and not the Entry-System Ranking. We hope you like this change that makes the game more realistic. Regards, Daniel(s)
I like de idea ; but also it would be great that the master cup is played with two groups . The golden group and the silver group just as now.
sorry but i totally disagree about this change. it is UNREALISTIC right now because : 1) in the reality the champions race has disappeared. 2) this year the 8 first guys ending the season in the entry system qualify to the masters cup. 3) would be great if we implement instead the new earning points system. Thanx.
They got rid of the championsrace? Haven't heard anything about it. Yes, the last years they played 3 winning sets (see wikipedia).
I checked. Champion's Race/ATP Race: they really got rid of it. [smiley="eek"] I can't believe it but does it mean OT should too? I'm not sure about that. What about you guys? winning sets: from 1970 to 2008 there were 3 winning sets. Yet, in 3 years they had 2 winning sets (1979, 2004 and 2008). Don't ask me why, I don't know. I'd prefer 3 winning sets though. [smiley="smile"]
Its a good idea but it is a shame they have just changed the whole ranking system on the real tour. I suggest we keep it as it is now for this season and then next season remove the champs race and update the ranking points so it apes the real tour. Also the new rule changes with having to play a certain number of 500 and 250 tournaments like on the real tour. CHeck the ATP website for the rules its all on there.
maybe you guys should change the names of some of the tournaments like Bellsoth Open of Viña del Mar. The right name is Movistar Open. Another great idea is to change the locations of the Masters Cup. see ya!
